8 Pro price is set at 629$ .

below the new iPhones and the flagship handsets from Samsung, Huawei, LG, Sony,
Google and co.
Design and display
Xiaomi brought its A game in terms of design here, the Mi 8
Pro sports a see-through back panel that gives a sneak peek to the internals of
the device, you’ll get to see the Snapdragon 845 live and direct. The MI logo
is at its usual position, same with the dual rear camera.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is a large, solid phone with a metal
frame providing a premium, cool feel in the hand.
The rear of the phone feels cheaper thanks to a plastic
cover - a hint at its more affordable price point - but it is transparent,
allowing you to see the internal circuitry of the Mi 8 Pro. While there are
circuit boards and chips visible, they're actually all dummies, with the real
internals hidden away out of sight.
Hardware And Software
The Snapdragon 845 chip runs the race here with an Octa-Core
processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at a
blazing speed of 2.8GHz with 10nm FinFET process technology. The Adreno 630
graphics processor controls graphics here.
There’s just one version in terms of RAM and storage space,
it has 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage space. The RAM has a memory speed of 1.8GHz
for fast and smooth multitasking, while the 128GB storage variant can’t be
upgraded further. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the new
MIUI 10.

DXOMark is available here. The dual 12MP + 12MP rear shooter on the Xiaomi Mi 8
has f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The first 12MP on top has 1/2.55″
sensor size, 1.4µm pixel size, 4-axis OIS and dual-pixel PDAF. While the 12MP
shooter below the dual-LED flash has 1/3.4″ sensor size and 1.0µm pixel size.
Both cameras are AI powered and offers 2x optical zoom, dual
pixel phase detection autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR
and panorama. Record videos of 2160p@60fps and 1080p@30/240fps, while the 20MP
selfie shooter on the notch has f/2.0 aperture, 1.8µm pixel size and takes AI
portrait selfies with its AI beautify technology.
The verdict
This Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is definitely a piece of beauty with
its expansive screen with a very high screen to body ratio. The specs under the
hood are great and can deliver an amazing clutter-free experience, be it
multitasking or heavy games. With decent usage, the battery will easily last
through a day and can be juiced up quickly with a quick charge. There is no
expandable storage option provided, but the inbuilt is storage is spacious
enough for the users. The headphone jack was missed.
